My favorite piece of music that I've performed was last year when I was in eighth grade. It was called "Electricity". IT was very cool. We had a water-gong, and we had the lights go out and everything of that nature. We all had our own little book lights that everyone would slowly put on as their part came in. I thought that it was a great piece to end the year on. YOu should listen to it!!!

One of my favorite pieces of music was one that I was able to perform for solo ensemble last year. It was entitled "El Torero" meaning "the bullfighter". It was one of the hardest trumpet solos I had ever played. This piece was supposed to give you an image of one of those people with a red cape waving it around infront of a bull- hence the title, "the bullfighter". It was really cool the way the parts sped up really fast and then dramatically slowed down smoothly. I especially liked the ending, because of the trill that finished off the "El Torero" piece.

One of my favorite pieces of music would have to be one i performed last year for Honor's Band. It was called Hosts of Freedom March. It was a challenging piece in cut time but I loved it. Mr. Sorensen was the conductor of that song and it was amazing to play with kids from schools around the area. It's great that some of the kids are now with me in the Wilmot Band.

One of my favorite pieces of music is "You Lost Me" by Christina Aguilera. When she sings it, it is just so beautiful and emotional. The music behind her is wonderful, it is complicated and her voice comes in strong but unshure in the begining with the piano but gradually gets stronger. I love the way she presents the piece and I fell in love with the song the first time I heard it.

My favorite piece of music would have to be Free Bird. We played this in Pep Band, every once in a while. It is my favorite because the combined part sounds incredible when done correctly.

My favorite piece of music for band would be Man in the Mirror that we were going to perform with in last year's homecoming parade for Randall, though because of the slight rain, we didn't. We added a special "OW!" during the cadence and it was tons of fun to practice it and eventually perform it as our opening piece in our winter concert.

One of my favorite pieces of music I ever performed was called "Shenanigans" by Robert Sheldon. I don't know what it was about this piece, but I was always so excited to play it and, to this day, I still love to take it out and remeber the fun times I had playing it in Honors Band. There are soooo many different dynamics in the piece and so many moments when you find yourself having to catch up to the band going from piano to fortissimo in the blink of an eye. What also makes this piece so unique are the many accidentals that add fun little twists to the song. The piece sort of reminds me of a cat and mouse game where the cat is chasing the mouse and thinks he has him but the mouse quickly slips from his grip. "Shenanigans" is such a fun and lively piece that has you one your toes, with so many fun surprises, including a scream, in store for you!

My favorite piece of music right now would be the song "Miserable at best" by Mayday Parade. I like this song because the lyrics are really meaningful. The lead singers have so much emotion in this song, and the music is amazing!

My favorite piece that I played with the Wilmot band would undoubtedly be "Vesuvius" by Frank Ticheli. With complex rhythms and uncommon meters like 7/8, it presents a great technical challenge. Articulation and dynamics really helped build interest and the tension up until the grand explosion. I've never had so much fun playing a song as I did with "Vesuvius!"

My favorite piece of music I ever played in orchestra was definately "Allegro" (the concerto for two guitars one). I enjoyed that song all-around. It sounded very cool, and it challenged me as well. It made me learn new skills on the violin; playing in new positions for example. ....We should definately play it again!

It's unbelievably hard for me to pick a favorite piece of music.. I suppose I'll pick the song that's playing on my iTunes right now - "Swim" by Jack's Mannequin. This song may be the best song I have ever come across for the days when you aren't sure if things are ever going to get better. It's an incredible song with some of the most meaningful, inspirational lyrics I've ever heard. The song also carries more weight because of the fact that it was written by a cancer survivor. The instruments are beautifully arranged and the song as a whole gives me hope for the music business that is currently drowning in a sea of garbage that is considered "good music".

One of my favorite pieces of music I have ever played was Soulman by The Blues Brothers. I played it with a grade school band my friends and I had put together. I liked playing this piece because everyone had their individual time to shine or their own part and could add whatever we wanted to, to it.

My favourite piece of music is a touch decision, it is between "Vesuvius" and "Solas Ane". Vesuvius was challenging, but the story it told was incredibly apparent and sounded awesome. Solas Ane was fun to play and the rhythms were catchy, often stuck in my head long after class.

One of my favourite pieces of music is "A Beautiful Lie" by 30 Seconds To Mars. The reason I like it is simple; everything!; the lyrics, the band, the music itself.

Its really hard for me to pick one single piece of music as my favorite, but on the basis of talent, I would say that "One Foot On the Gas, One Foot in the Grave" by Streetlight Manifesto is my favorite song. The vocals are not very good, but the lyrics themselves are. Also, I really like how they put mix the rock band feel with a jazz band.

My favorite piece of music is called "Sonatina." Many years ago I mastered it on piano, while I was in middle school. To this day is it my favorite because I remember performing the solo at our school's largest concert of the year.

One of the most amazing songs, or musical numbers I've heard, in my opinion is "When the Day met the Night" by Panic at the Disco. I love how they incorperate soaring trumpet lines with low violin lines in order to create this complete bliss. The song sounds amazing in my opinion.

My favorite piece of music would have to be Julie-O. It happens to be a piece arranged for string quartet and even more common as a solo for cello. Although I am not an active string instrumentalist, I greatly admire the strength of the lead cello and the overall excitement of the piece is infectious. This piece is what first gave me interest in the cello, hopefully I can pick it up one of these days.

Wow, hmmm...... Well, there are many songs that I enjoy. A better question would be to ask what my favorite song would be of a particular genre. However, faced with the question at hand, I would have to say "1941," by John Williams. This song is my favorite because of the constant reintroduction of the main theme by either additional or new instruments.

Right now my favorite piece is the guitar solo for an Ozzy song "Fire in the Sky". I am trying to learn it and play it everyday.

My favorite piece of music is "Moonlight Sonata" by Ludwig VanBeethoven. I like this piece because it sounds cool and changes mood very quickly from soft and legato to forte and accented. I am currently learning this piece for my piano recital in December and I love it.

My favorite piece of music is "Pirates of the Caribbean". I played it in Lakewood. It was very cool. All the effects with it was awesome. Mr. Doyle was a great music teacher. That probably the only way we actually could do it. It was hard but once you got the hang of it it was very exciting!

One of my favorites has to be "Come Dance with Me" by Frank Sinatra. I love Mr. Sinatra's voice, and the brass behind him is incredible. It just seems like a really fun and energetic song. I've always been a sucker for Jazz and Big Band compositions, but that piece in particular gets me.

My favorite piece of music was something I performed at the Honors Band performance last year at Carthage. We actully got to play the piece Vesuvius with the man who wrote it, Frank Ticheli, as our conductor. It was the most exciting piece I've ever played due to the fact that we got to play it exactly how the composer invisioned the piece and in the end it turned out to be a really amazing piece.

My favorite piece of music is one that I listne to a whole lot and hope that one day i could play it. It is called "How to Save a Life" by The Fray. it is very cool and moving. The beginning and verses sound really cool when they are soft with the piano so i think i would be cool to play this one time on a piano or even my gutair. Hope i can play it some day to our band with the band im trying to get together.

It is increadibly hard for me to answer this question. Choosing just one piece of music is hard for me, because there are a lot of great pieces of music. But, to keep with the whole band-orchestra them of this all, my favorite classical piece is probably Tchaikovsky's Pathetique. The movements in it are beautifully arranged. The entire piece is just...amazing. Beautiful. Definitely one of my favorite songs, classical or otherwise, ever.
