Many of you also came up with "Timbre" as one of the five elements of music. Think about what we do in concert band, wind ensemble, orchestra and/or jazz ensemble and tell me one thing you do that deals with timbre. Please remember to phrase your answer in such a way that I don't need to know the question to understand what you are talking about.

I am very glad to see most of you included rhythm as one of the elements of music. The other four are: melody, harmony, timbre and form. Actually, rhythm is the most important of the five elements. Can you tell me why that might be?
